Doctor4U offering free online consultations during Covid-19

Doctor4U (Hanoi) and doctors providing free consultations over Hotline and via the Doctor4U App from July 22 to September 22.

The complexity of the Covid-19 pandemic in many localities around the country makes it difficult for people to access medical examinations and treatment, and many are also wary of the risk of infection when visiting crowded places such as hospitals or clinics. To support the community during the pandemic, Doctor4U’s Family Doctor Clinic is offering all online health consultations free of charge via the Doctor4U App and the Hotline 1900 636 508, answering all questions relating to common diseases and guiding treatment and healthcare at home.

To make an appointment for an online consultation with a doctor, users need to download the Doctor4U App on CH Play (for Android) or the App Store (for IOS). They then create an account and select a suitable doctor and consultation schedule. If they want to have an online consultation via a video call with a doctor, they need to register for an appointment on Doctor4U in advance. When registering, they need to provide personal information and symptoms and the desired consultation time, so that a suitable appointment can be made. After that, Doctor4U will confirm the appointment and provide guidance so that the user can best prepare for the online session.

At the appointed time, the doctor will use the video call feature to start the consultation. Once the consultation is finished, the doctor will update the diagnostic information, treatment recommendations, and prescriptions (if any) on the user’s medical record.

In addition to consultations via video call by appointment, patients can directly contact the clinic by calling the Hotline 1900 636 508, then press button 1 to receive normal medical advice from a doctor, press button 2 to receive answers relating to Covid-19, or press button 0 to meet a doctor’s assistant to make an appointment with a specialist. Users do not pay any fee for online examinations and asking questions.

Since the start of the campaign in July to support the community during the pandemic, after the fourth wave had broken out in Ho Chi Minh city and southern cities and provinces, Doctor4U has daily received hundreds of calls to hotline and appointments via apps from people seeking advice on pediatric, cardiovascular, digestive, neurological, dermatological, and diabetes issues, among others, from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and other nearby provinces. These calls were primarily from patients with chronic diseases or those who need periodic examinations but have been unable to do so amid the pandemic. Doctors can answer all questions relating to Covid-19 as well as vaccinations.

Doctors can also refer patients to official information from the Ministry of Health or contact the hotline of the Ministry of Health in cases of emergency.

Doctor4U hopes to help people in pandemic-hit areas access remote medical consultations and provide answers to disease-related questions anytime, anywhere, and help them feel more secure during social distancing.

There are about 20 doctors in different specialties such as cardiology, hematology, endocrinology, neurology, musculoskeletal ailments, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic trauma, oncology, nephrology – urology, and gastroenterology offering free consultations on the app and answering questions on the hotline.

Free health consultations via the Doctor4U App and Hotline 1900 636 508 are available from the Doctor4U clinic from 8am to 9pm on weekdays and weekends between July 22 and September 22, depending on the specific registration timeframe of each doctor.

Doctor4U offers free consultations from doctors from July 22 to September 22.

Users can easily book an appointment with a doctor via the app.
